Motherhood is a beautiful disaster.
It's filled with so many joys and tiny successes.
A child playing with full abandon, running, swinging.
A little one announcing with pride, "I pee peed in the potty!"
It's filled with frustrations as well.
The fourth cup of spilled cheerios in an hour.
The tantrums at the most inconvenient times and places.
As a mother, all of these are your realities-the good and the not so good.
You spend so much time behind the scenes keeping everyone going and all the plates spinning.
I see you, and am in the thick of this mess called Motherhood right alongside you.
But while we keep those plates spinning, we can forget to be present and capture the memories in the madness.
We pull out our cell phones often to take a picture of this or a short clip of that.
But where are we in these memories?
When our children see these pictures we take, there will be a crucial part of their memories missing-us.
I want to help you with that.
I want to help you hop inside the memories that your children will look back on for years to come. I want, when they pull out that box of photos, for them to see
You.
To see and remember that mom was present and showed up for them everyday, in the big ways and the small ways.
They need to see your beautiful face-and yes, whether you feel so or not, it is beautiful! Yours is the first face they saw, and they don't see any of its imperfections.
So let's make a deal this year (I've already started the process of planning and scheduling my own motherhood session.)
No more excuses.
Let's get you in front of the camera where you should be.
Let's capture you snuggling, giggling and embracing this season in your life. For all it's worth and all it will be worth for years to come.
